Plank was the first mate on a pirate ship. When there was a mutiny, the crew begged him to take their side, but he was loyal to the captain, first; in his mind, taking life was not the way to handle a conflict, and if they were willing to do it with the captain, where would it end? He turned his back on many friends that day and joined his captain off the plank, into the rough waves below. But before he could drown, his peaceful decisiveness and loyalty attracted the similarly loyal MinaMasa, who recognized herself in that moment. Too bad she doesn't see a lot of herself in Plank!
Very curious, loyal, and friendly. Sometimes he gets stuck in mysterious flashbacks from the haunting darkness of the sea, and his previous clever personality is a bit absent or largely distilled, but Plank is always eager to be helpful, regardless of his ability to do so.
